The Brenda Strafford Centre, which supports women and children fleeing domestic violence, depends on LCOS donations to supply their clients with pillows as they arrive at the centre. Again this spring LCOS will be accepting donations of new pillows, towels, bedding and blankets.

Thank you to everyone who prepared Lenten Gift Bags for the ladies at The Brenda Strafford Centre. These bags were sewn by Annabel Glanville years ago, with fabric donated by the Kaack family.  If anyone would like to donate more items for the centre please drop them off beside the pillow collection area in the Place of Welcome by Easter Sunday. Questions can be directed to Jaqui Anderson or Judy McDonald.

Feed the Hungry:  Our Feed the Hungry program continues on Friday, April 17 at the Chinook LRT Station. Donations of food (packaged cookies, drinks, granola bars, fruit) and clothing (blankets, socks, mittens, footwear, coats, sweaters, hats, scarves) are accepted throughout the month on Sunday mornings and during office hours on Mondays and Tuesdays. A sign up sheet is located in the Place of Welcome for those who wish to volunteer to bring hot food and/or serve. Volunteers meet at the church by 3:30. Please contact Judy for details.
