Feed the Hungry continues the third Friday of each month as LCOS volunteers distribute food and clothing to those in need. Volunteers meet at the church between 3:00 & 3:30 to prepare. Please consider taking a couple of hours to volunteer once every month or 2 to help set up and hand out food and clothing at the Chinook LRT station. The next Feed the Hungry is planned for March 20th. Sign up in the Place of Welcome.

A group of LCOS ladies plans to get together the last Friday of each month at 10:00 am for coffee/breakfast.  Please speak to Adriana or Judy for details.

The Brenda Strafford Centre, which supports women and children fleeing domestic violence, depends on LCOS donations to supply their clients with pillows as they arrive at the centre. Again this spring LCOS will be accepting donations of new pillows, towels, bedding and blankets.

We continue to accept food donations for the Acadia Food Pantry at LCOS throughout each month. On the third Tuesday of the month food is distributed at McDougall United Church to families in need in our local community. Any questions can be directed to Judy.  Thank you!

Join us for a fundraiser in support of our youth attending Synod Youth Gathering in May at Kuriakos. A Silent Bake Auction will be held on Sunday, April 12 at 11:00 am. Questions can be directed is Isaria, Kari or Judy.

Pledging  It’s not too late to pledge your financial support to LCOS for 2026. Pledged donations allow our Board of Directors to plan appropriately. Feed the Hungry:  Our Feed the Hungry program continues on Friday, November 21 at the Chinook LRT Station. Donations of food (packaged cookies, drinks, granola bars, fruit) and clothing (blankets, socks, mittens, footwear, coats, sweaters, hats, scarves) are accepted throughout the month on Sunday mornings and during office hours on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are low on men’s coats at this time. A sign up sheet is located in the Place of Welcome for those who wish to volunteer to bring hot food and/or serve. Volunteers meet at the church by 3:30.
