Enjoy an evening of Christmas carols and their stories with Alex Mckay on Sunday, December 21 at 7:00 pm as he leads our annual Carols by Candlelight.

We continue to accept food donations for the Acadia Food Pantry at LCOS throughout each month. On the third Tuesday of the month food is distributed at McDougall United Church to families in need in our local community. Any questions can be directed to Judy.  Thank you!

Please note that the last day to make a donation towards Poinsettias is Sunday, December 21. Thank you to everyone who contributed so that our altar on Christmas Eve is filled with beautiful poinsettias.

The following are the deadlines for giving to be included in 2025:

  - e-transfers: Dec 31 by 10 pm MST

  - credit card via Realm: Dec 31 by 6 pm MST

  - cash and cheques: to arrive at the church by Dec 30 at Noon MST (via mail or in person) 

There have been 26 Pledges received for 2026 in the amount of $111,680.

For 2025 there were 46 pledges in the amount of $162,160.

We are looking for volunteers to join our team, creating PPT Slides for Sunday worship services. If this is something you might be interested in please speak to Judy.

Thanks to Nick Perchthaler, who delivered a carload of hand made items to the Pregnancy Centre, and Kathy Gibson, Donna Nielsen, Elizabeth Lietz, Bill & Avril LeBlanc and Judy McDonald, who spent Tuesday morning transporting and handing out donations to local families at the Acadia Food Pantry December distribution, we are pleased to announce that all Giving Tree donations have found homes. Thank you to everyone who helped make Christmas a little brighter for many in need in our community!

Volunteers, joined by Pastor Lee, will be meeting at the church Friday, December 19 between 3:00 & 3:30 for our final Feed the Hungry of 2025 to load food and clothing for those in need and then hand out these desperately needed items at the Chinook LRT Station. There's always room for more volunteers! Feed the Hungry:  Our Feed the Hungry program continues on Friday, November 21 at the Chinook LRT Station. Donations of food (packaged cookies, drinks, granola bars, fruit) and clothing (blankets, socks, mittens, footwear, coats, sweaters, hats, scarves) are accepted throughout the month on Sunday mornings and during office hours on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are low on men’s coats at this time. A sign up sheet is located in the Place of Welcome for those who wish to volunteer to bring hot food and/or serve. Volunteers meet at the church by 3:30.
