Silent Bake Auction April 12

A huge thank you to everyone who donated baked goods last Sunday, and to all those who purchased baking. Over $1400 was collected. Our youth were thrilled with the support they received from our congregation. The proceeds will fully cover the cost of BOUNDLESS, the ABT Youth Gathering taking place May 1-3, at Kuriakos.     

The Acadia Food Pantry is in need of someone to deliver food hampers to a few homes in our community on the third Tuesday of each month, 12:15 to 1:30 pm. A second volunteer with a large vehicle is urgently needed to collect donated food from a food rescue program operated by Community Kitchen.  This volunteer would be required to arrive early morning at their warehouse (3751-21 St NE) to select food, load it into their vehicle and transport it to McDougall United on either the second or third Tuesday of each month. Attention LCOS Gardeners:  We are seeking donations of plants/seedlings to hand out to our Acadia neighbours on Calgary Neighbour Day, June 20th, as our Board of Directors strives to be more visible in our local community. Contact Judy for details.
