Pastor Greg Smith is very thankful to be with the family of LCOS. He grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in a Lutheran church with his four siblings and parents. He has come to LCOS after moving to Calgary in the fall of 2018. Having had a bit of a wanderlust for years, he and his wife from NB, Jocelyn, look forward to planting deep roots here in Calgary and with the LCOS family. Greg has a passion for contemporary worship, outreach, and connecting with people. His hobbies are reading, playing games with his family, golf, cross-country skiing, going on scenic walks or drives, going to costume parties with Jocelyn, learning interesting bits of history, and telling puns and jokes. One of his favourite quotes is from Brennan Manning: “God loves you unconditionally, as you are and not as you should be, because nobody is as they should be.” Along with being a committed Christian, Greg is a die-hard Detroit Lions fan. He looks forward to pouring the same faithful commitment into his pastoring position at LCOS. He considers it an honour to hear people’s stories because there is a sacredness in being let into their lives this way.
